Telemedicine is a recognized form of care delivery in the Philippines under DOH-DILG-PHIC Joint Administrative Order No. 2021-0001 — an online consultation carries the same legal standing as an in-person visit for what it's suited to: assessment, advice, standard prescriptions, and documentation. It has real limits too: if Dr. Maamo determines during your consultation that a physical exam is genuinely needed, he'll say so directly rather than guess over video, and you can book a face-to-face visit or house call instead.

If something needs a physical exam (listening to your chest, checking a wound, palpating an area), Dr. Maamo will tell you directly and recommend a face-to-face visit or house call instead.
Can I get a prescription from an online consultation?
Yes, for standard medications. Prescriptions for regulated/controlled medications require Dr. Maamo's PDEA S2 license and are handled as a separate service.
How long does the consultation take?
Around 30 minutes, though it can run shorter or longer depending on what you need to discuss.
What if I need a document afterward, like a medical certificate?
Mention it in your intake form or during the call — Dr. Maamo can issue a certificate or other document based on the same consultation if it's clinically appropriate; otherwise book the specific document service directly.
